History

Billing Consultants was founded in 1995 to provide Outpatient Billing and Coding services to hospitals and physicians. It has since grown to include Physician Credentialing and Information Systems Integration Consulting services to the same physician and hospital area.

Ann Calabro is President and CEO of Pre Billing Consultants. Ann received her BSN in Nursing from Michigan State University and her MBA from the University of San Francisco. She began her nursing career in Michigan and continued to put her nursing skills to good use after joining the Army after college. As an officer, Ann was responsible for the medical and administrative operation of a large US Army Hospital nursing staff. Anne’s US Army medical career included hospital assignments in Hawaii, Boston, and San Francisco with an emphasis in Oncology, Medical ICU, CCU, Emergency Medicine and all aspects of administrative management. Ann recognized a need for medical coding and documentation education. Drawing on her many years of industry experience, in 1995, Ann put together a team dedicated to the streamlining of chart documentation for accurate medical services coding. PBC has since grown and added to its portfolio of services. In the process of building her business, several of Anne's clients approached her about their frustrations with complex medical billing issues and the lack of high quality billing solutions companies.
