Hospitalist Services Support

PBC has developed quite an East Coast Hospital following with our Hospitalist physician reimbursement services. These revenue producing services include insurance provider enrollment, level coding, billing, receivables management, reporting and use of our innovative Computerized Physician Charge Entry (CPOE) tool.

CPOE is used by such Hospitalist clients as Highland Physician Services. PBC introduced CPOE to Highland over a year ago. CPOE is a web enabled tool that bridges the gulf between the clinical and administrative portions of the reimbursement process. Traditionally Hospitalists are responsible for keeping track manually of all daily Hospitalist charge tickets/assessment forms. CPOE enables Highland and other Hospitalist clients to electronically document patient visits, length of stay and all other patient charge ticket information essential to timely and accurate reimbursement. This proprietary tool mechanizes all Hospitalist clinical activity providing a business process “pulse check” for those responsible for practice management. CPOE features easy to use pop–up functionality that addresses accurate date of service reconciled with patient log, sequential visit types/charge, diagnosis as well as procedure coding with corresponding descriptions. The interactive nature of CPOE allows PBC to proactively identify any physician documentation issues that might prevent or delay timely billing of Hospitalist services.
