Corporate Compliance Program

On a stand alone basis or as part of an overall client services program, PBC will periodically perform a corporate compliance coding audit of a client’s hospital and physician documentation. Clients may send PBC a representative sample of their visit notes and procedure reports. PBC will perform a government-style audit of the coding, using all available screens and regulations.

As specialists in HIPAA Compliant billing, PBC adheres to standardized electronic data interchange specifications and hold the privacy and confidentiality of our clients’ patients as sacrosanct.

PBC’s corporate compliance program includes:

• Written policies and procedures promoting billing compliance

• Supervision by PBC’s Chief Compliance Officer

• Ongoing training programs for all employees

• Response systems for allegations of improper activities• Audits to monitor compliance in all key areas

• Ongoing investigation and correction of identified system problems

All coding is currently done in-house for our hospital contracts. PBC has the ability to provide your medical practice or hospital billing system with correct ICD-9, CPT-4 codes to ensure that all professional and technical components of the bill are consistent.
